Airstream Caravans
We’re on our 21st caravan since beginning our association with WBCCI - the Wally Byam Caravan Club back in 1980, and they have all been fulfilling. We have Dave and Mary Love Schumaker to thank for introducing us to the club and going with us on the first couple of caravans. The motto of the club is Fun, Fellowship, and Adventure, and every caravan has filled all three elements of the motto. We’ve seen things we would never have known about otherwise. We have a beautiful country. We’ve met people we never would have known otherwise and formed lasting friendships.
Most of the caravans have also been learning experiences too, like the one we’re on as I write this - the American Civil War series. It’s a three year series, visiting Civil War sites, learning about that tragic part of our history. We missed the first year which featured the western battle sites. So, we’re now enjoying the second of the series. We started in Charleston, South Carolina where the first shots of the war were heard at Fort Sumter, moved to Savannah, then Andersonville, then Kennesaw Mountain, and now Chattanooga. We’ll be moving next to Nashville, Tennessee.
So, Dave, if you read this — THANKS!
